Thank you, thank you for the spring,
For all the sweet smells that you bring,
For the harmonious sound of the birds that sing,
Thank you, thank you for the spring.
Thank you for spring the winter rests,
The cold is gone we’ve passed the test,
The color shows on the robin’s breast,
Thank you for spring we’ve passed the test.
Thank you for summer that’s on it’s way,
Thank you for coming I gratefully say,
Because of you the children play,
Thank you for summer that’s on it’s way.
Thank you for spring with its light rain,
The titmouse taps on my window pane,
The wind it blows the weathervane,
Thank you thank you for the rain.
Thank you for spring now the flowers grow,
As the wind upon the day does blow,
The seeds of life like a needle sew,
Thank you spring now the flowers grow.
Thank you for spring on my porch I sit,
The fireflies glow is gently lit,
This nurturing time I wish not to quit,
Thank you for spring on my porch I sit.
Thank you, thank you for the spring,
For all the many joys you bring,
For you today the Angel’s sing,
Thank you, thank you for the spring.
