I’ve cried so many tears over these past many months,
Tears shed for a lost love,
A broken heart and oh so many unrelenting life changes.
I thought that I had cried them all,
There can be no more tears left to shed.
But once again the tears have come to visit me like an old friend.
Tears now shed for decisions wrongly made,
Sadness for a lighter time just not meant to be.
Oh how my heart is battered.
For all my energies spent,
I find myself standing empty handed once again.
For now I will try to put this sadness where it belongs,
Somewhere behind me,
To see the goodness that may lie ahead.
Though my vision may be blurred,
And the way so very hard to see,
Through so many tears.
