38. Just a Bad Dream

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Last night while I lay deep in slumber I had a bad dream.
In it chaos was running rampant,
All my kindred were frantically insane screaming out in mental pain.

Tear streaked faces pleaded to me for help to shelter them from their blinding torment.
I was tasked to commit them all to a place where strangers now would care for them,
Tend to their needs because I no longer could.

Was this dream state an outlet for my resting mind,
To release all the true fears that my conscious mind dare not go?
The fear that illness of the mind will claim to its greedy possession all that surrounds me.
Or was it simply sending me a message to finally let go of that which I cannot change.

Or maybe it was, just what it was,
Just a bad dream.
