4. I Am So Tired

#19– Princess

I am so tired.
The words sound so insignificant,
They sound so very small.

When in fact my body is often burdened with such a state of exhaustion,
That I cannot move under my own power,
I am so weary I cannot keep open my eyes.

My body feels so heavy,
I fear I might sink down into the depths of the earth never to return.
It feels to me like quicksand is pulling my body down deeper and deeper,
Holding me hostage with its drawing force.

In this state I do not have control,
I care not how my broken down image appears to those around me.
The usual competent reliable figure self falls in a useless mass upon the floor,
Where breathing is the only thing I have strength enough to accomplish.

The tired claims me,
I must give into it until it passes.
I am so tired.
The words sound so insignificant,
They sound so very small.
