September 2000
Timidly I knocked upon the door of your guarded life,
Graciously you opened it to me in loves entrancing passion.
Sneaking quietly inside,
I hide within the outermost corner of your world,
Sinking down among the faint shadows.
Content in the knowledge of this inspiring love,
I lie in wait within the recesses of your life,
Hoping to catch a glimpse of you as you go about your daily existence.
In the distance I hear your laughter,
It comforts me as I patiently bide my time for you to pass my way.
How glorious it is when you come to visit this shadowy corner of your life,
For a short time I alone captivate your total world.
It is the memory of these enchanted occasions,
That gently illuminates the darkness until you return.
For now I can only live in hope that someday,
I will be free to come out from under the shadows and walk openly with you into the sunlight of your life.
