22. Don’t Wake Me When It’s Over

#38

– Nap Time

Don’t wake me when it’s over,

I have not the strength to see,

My reflection in the mirror,

Of what is left of me.

Don’t wake me when it’s over,

Moving forward would be in vain,

My spirit has been broken,

I cannot stand the pain.

Don’t wake me when it’s over,

My heart can bear no more,

Just leave me where you found me,

Lying still upon the floor.

Don’t wake me when it’s over,

Just leave me there to rest,

I just want the world to know the truth,

I always tried my very best.
