Pull the curtain,
Put out the light,
Blocking out the pale moonlight.
It’s quiet here,
There’s no one to care,
That I sat alone all day in the chair.
Don’t want to eat,
Don’t want to drink,
I wish I didn’t have to think.
The night is here,
The day is done,
I wish tomorrow didn’t have to come.
It will come despite my dread,
And I will have to deal with it inside my head.
The day is done,
It’s time to rest,
Tomorrow I’ll have to pass the test.
To survive yet another day,
I wish I didn’t have to play.
