28. Each Step

#44– Pathway Between Poetry's Dreams

Each step I take feels like a mile,
The next one longer than the last,
Praying that this day I’d be,
Stronger than the past.

The pain it grips me hard today,
I struggle to keep the pace,
Using what I have in store,
Not to let it show upon my face.

Fatigue won’t keep my secret,
Its burden weighs me down,
A price I’d pay for just a moment.
To lie down upon the ground.

Each step will carry me through this day,
The next one longer than the last,
Praying that I will have the strength,
To accomplish each and every task.

Each step I take feels like a mile,
The next one longer than the last,
Praying that this day I’d be,
Stronger than the last.
