I walk upon the shattered ground,
Where all the voices sleep,
And as I struggle through each day,
I pray my soul to keep.
I walk upon the shattered ground,
It cuts my tender feet,
I know I must escape from here,
To a place I cannot reach.
I walk upon the shattered ground,
In between the cracks I fall,
I’ve done all that I can do,
My backs against the wall.
I walk upon the shattered ground,
They do not hear my plea,
The writing is there upon the wall,
That they should set me free.
I walk upon the shattered ground,
It’s often hard to breathe,
It’s draining all my Energy,
Trying to make everyone believe!
I walk upon the shattered ground,
There is no place to run,
Clinging to the very edge,
Until salvation comes.
