I ran away from home today.
Though my body was gone,
My mind was still enslaved.
As I put the miles behind me,
My body lightened,
My mind still weighted down with its endless workings.
There seemed to be no respite from its toiling,
No matter how many miles I journeyed,
The grief traveled with me as a constant companion.
I ran away from home today,
Though my body was gone, my mind was still enslaved.
