The distant hills call to me,
In their silence I find solace.
I long to be alone with the earth,
It cradles me in comfort.
The sweeping sky stretches out above me,
It holds the heavens and embraces me with its spirits.
In the breeze I hear a whisper,
“Do not be afraid, no evil will come to you in this serene place,
Only nature is here to claim you back and call you her own.”
I let the woodlands guide me,
It gives me the strength to return to the life where pain marks my every day.
In the breeze there is a whisper,
“Be strong, for tomorrow you may return to me, and I will comfort you once again.”
