I find myself wandering,
Searching for a safe place to be.
The choices are riddled with obstacles,
To be alone is to lose my mind,
To go home is to lose my soul.
There is a place in the center of my thought where comfort and freedom live,
I love this place and visit it often.
It carries me through each laborious day,
And comforts me through all the long sleepless nights.
The day quickly approaches when the choice will no longer be my own,
I must return to the place I once called home.
There my body will be present,
My mind, my heart and my soul,
Will be left to the wandering,
Searching for a safe place to be.
