20. Ten Wishes

These ten wishes I wish today,

I wish that I could melt away.

I wish with all my broken heart,

That I would just break all-apart.

Can’t stay my course upon the tracks,

I wish I could slip between the cracks.

As I stand upon the ledge,

I wish that I would fall off of the edge.

Over and again within my mind,

I wish I could fall between the lines.

With the taking of each painful breath,

I wish to sink into the deepest depths.

Every painful day I yearn,

I wish to go past the point of no return.

As I hide my tear stained face,

I wish to disappear without a trace.

To this affliction I am bound,

I wish to be lost and never found.

To live each day among the trees,

I wish to be scattered into the breeze.

Do not come and look for me,

I will finally be set free.
